Detailed Description
A selection of choice, easily grown vines wouldn't be complete without this colorful variegated kiwi. Grown for its pink and purple tipped leaves mixed with plentiful sprinklings of sharply contrasting white, this ornamental twiner grows quickly, making it perfect for training up a wall, across a trellis or through an open branched tree. Arctic Beauty's first leaves in the spring are purple and are followed by clusters of small white flowers borne at the branch tips in early summer. These blossoms aren't showy, but they are lightly fragrant. As the foliage changes color, becoming clearly variegated and with intensified contrasts during the summer, this kiwi develops into a garden focal point. Consider this: long blooming flowers add color to the landscape for 2 or 3 months, this vine manages to do the same for 5 or more months. Grows equally well in the cold of Minneapolis and the warmth of Dallas, Texas. | Variegated Kiwi vine |
