Gloriosa Greenii
Gloriosa Greenii
Gloriosa lilies are a group of vining plants that are just being discovered by adventuresome gardeners across the country. The most common variety, Gloriosa Rothschildiana, is a mouthful to pronounce, but not tough to grow, and it's a great place to start. The exotic flowers are such fun that they usually prompt further exploration. To encourage experimentation and the "let's see what this looks like" aspect of gardening, this spring we're delighted to offer a new variety, Greenii. Greenii's petals are smooth rather than crinkled in the customary fashion, but are still swept back in the classic form that reminds one of a hairdo after an afternoon's outing in a racy convertible. Exotic, happy in containers or in warm soil, and guaranteed to prompt attention. Limited supply this season.
