Bird of Paradise
Bird of Paradise
Yes, you've seen bold, brilliant patches of Bird of Paradise plants on your vacations in Florida, southern California and Texas. But do you realize how easy these South African natives are to grow? They're a snap. Proximately veined, bluish, evergreen foliage sprouts in giant tufts that grow four feet tall and frame the easily recognized "bird's head" flowers. Brilliant structural blooms in electric orange, blue, pink and green decorate the plants for months. Durable, wind resistant, Bird of Paradise thrive in coastal gardens where the ever present breezes tatter other plants. These are an excellent choice for atriums, greenhouses and sunrooms and unparalleled for cut flowers.
Highlights & Hints
