Ask floral designers and they'll tell you that callas are the most elegant of their flowers. The strong, simple sculptural qualities are unmatched. Callas are also excellent garden plants that display attractive wavy or speckled leaves all season long.
Don't assume that their regal bearing means callas are difficult to grow, however. They aren't. The trick is to get good bulbs - big and not too old - and the best cultivars. You'll find both here. Our callas come from a west coast grower, known internationally for supplying the best.
Note: the New Zealand callas listed below are a once in a life time deal and we encourage warm weather gardeners to act fast if there's interest. Quantities are limited and they'll go fast. (Cold weather gardeners, these will not over winter outside in areas that freeze. In cold regions, we only recommend these for greenhouse growing under controlled conditions. Also, they can not be held for spring plantings as they're itching to grow now.) |
