| Not familiar with Watsonia? Allow us to introduce a delightful, easy-to-please plant. Watsonia is a tall clump-former with slim, upright foliage like its cousin, the gladiola. These spring bloomers produce multiple branched stems, each a statuesque 4 to 6 feet tall and bearing up to 40 star-shaped tubular flowers.
With a constitution tough enough to be used for highway plantings in it's native South Africa, watsonia's needs are few. This plant is not fussy about soil, requires little water and loves hot weather. Many varieties also reproduce quickly and are ideal for filling in new gardens and sharing.
Watsonia blooms over a long period in oodles of colors, offers excellent vase life and provides dazzling height for the back of garden beds and borders. Amazing in large "estate" pots, and tailor-made for parks and golf courses. Try some, you'll see.
