Say the word "geranium" and most people think of flats of annuals. The large flowered, rounded leaved, odd smelling pot plants sold in garden centers across the country each spring. These are really Pelargoniums.
True geraniums are hardy perrennials with finely cut leaves, dainty flowers, a mounding form and a desire to bloom abundantly year after year. If you don't have hardy geraniums in your garden, you're missing out. Don't wait another season. |
