Ready for great fragrance, in a strikingly unusual form? Think ismene for clusters of large, 6-8 inch flowers that bloom atop tall, stout stems. These flowers produce a flared corona, striped in deep green and framed with six tapered petals. Straplike foliage is smooth and glossy, resembling that of an amaryllis, but a bit shorter. Cut flowers last a week in water. Ismene will produce small bulblets for additional future plants.
