The most common variety, Gloriosa Rothschildiana, is a mouthful to pronounce, but not tough to grow, and it's a great place to start. Greenii's petals are smooth rather than crinkled in the customary fashion, but are still swept back in the classic form that reminds one of a hairdo after an afternoon's outing in a racy convertible.
